It is possible that during your treatment an examination or test reveals an ‚uncertain disease focus’ in the liver. This means the presence of a tissue concentration which the doctor does not know to be benign or malignant. To clarify this, an ultrasound or CT-guided tissue tap is carried out. From the tissue samples obtained, a further fine tissue examination under a microscope is possible.
