What information do I need in an emergency?

In case of an emergency, you need rapid help and the following options are available:

  • During your first visit to CIO, you will receive a card from our Patient Navigators with all important contact numbers on it. During business hours you can contact the Patient Navigators under the following telephone numbers:

    Patient Navigators Bonn: +49 228 / 287-15332
  • If your treatment includes a palliative care physician he/she will also give you a card with important contact numbers on it. 
  • Should you require help outside your family doctor’s or CIO’s consultation hours, please contact our after hours emergency unit. The central emergency unit is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • The EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER 112 applies to all countries of the European Union.
  • Medical Emergency Services (MES): Telephone +49 1805 / 044100. Here you receive information about doctors in private practice whom you can contact after normal consultation hours.
  • Should the MES admit you to a hospital near your place of residence, your treating doctors can request all relevant information through the Pilots.
